Having studied and passed A level computer science I went straight into paid work for Skandia Life in Southampton as a trainee computer operator. Over the following 2 decades I progressed to be an analyst programmer to business analyst all within the IT Departments for various companies including Draper Tools and Manor Bakeries.
I picked up most of my computing skills from these jobs and have excelled on my technical abilities across the board as well as having extremely good interpersonal skills and a very calm and patient manner particularly when training people on their computer.
